Overview
We\'re excited to welcome a Research Radiation Oncology Medical Physicist – Advanced to the Cancer Care Services team. Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service (SCHHS) is in southeast Queensland and extends through the coastal and hinterland areas from Caloundra in the south to Gympie in the north. The ROMP role provides specialised research knowledge in radiation oncology medical physics within SCHHS goals and the RO service area, with a focus on research activities and applications to clinical trials and projects.
The ROMP is ACPSEM registered and will develop and lead all research activities within the team and the broader Radiation Oncology service. This role will primarily support the existing Functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging Guided Radiation Therapy (fMRIrT) investigator-led and Trans-Tasman Radiation Oncology Group (TROG) clinical trials within the department.
Key Responsibilities
Demonstrate high-level research knowledge and skill in radiation oncology medical physics with applications to the RO service area.
Lead and manage the ROMP components of the existing fMRIrT investigator-led and TROG-supported clinical research programs within the department.
Lead and manage new clinical research or a component of a major clinical research program, with research outcomes influencing clinical processes and standards of clinical practice.
Remuneration & Employment Details
Remuneration value up to $259,661 p.a., comprising salary between $218,109 - $227,581 p.a. A Medical Physicist Attraction and Retention Incentive payment is included, with employer contribution to superannuation (up to *****%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (HP5). Permanent full-time, 76 hrs p.f. Applications will remain current for 12 months. Note: applications from candidates only; agency fees will not be considered.
