Job Description
VeiraMal Consulting is seeking an experienced HR Adviser to join WGBW Geelong in Grovedale. Our client is looking for an enthusiastic individual who can work well in a team, with strong communication skills. Aim of the Role:
- To contribute to the overall success of the business by ensuring the effective running of HR and office operations on a day-to-day basis.
- To collaborate with management and staff in developing, implementing, and maintaining effective standards and procedures for office management and human resources administration.
Key Responsibilities
- Arrange advertising of job vacancies, conduct interviews and testing, and assist in the selection of staff.
- Maintain accurate personnel records and manage the organisation’s human resource information systems.
- Provide advice and information to management on workplace relations policies and procedures, staff performance, and disciplinary matters.
- Coordinate staff inductions and provide information on employment conditions, remuneration, and promotional opportunities.
- Receive and record job vacancy details, including job descriptions, wages, and employment conditions.
- Provide up-to-date information on current job vacancies within the organisation to management and staff.
- Undertake negotiations on employment terms and conditions, and assist in resolving workplace disputes and grievances.
- Research, interpret, and apply relevant legislation, awards, enterprise agreements, and employment contracts.
- Develop and implement enterprise agreements, workplace relations policies, and productivity-based wage adjustment procedures.
- Oversee the establishment and operation of workplace consultative committees and employee engagement initiatives.
Hours of Work
This is a full time position, requiring a minimum of 38 hours per week. Work schedules may vary based on operational requirements.
Skills and Experience Required
- Previous experience in a similar Human Resource or Management role.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and time management skills.
- Ability to prioritise tasks, set goals, and achieve results effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
Salary
$75,000 - $85,000 + Superannuation
