As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing support with purchase requisitioning and service entry. This includes monitoring invoices and liaising with managers on payment approval and accounts payable.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide a purchasing service to operational personnel, including processing requests and ensuring timely delivery.
* Monitor and review invoices for accuracy and completeness, liaising with managers as necessary to resolve any discrepancies.
* Assist with month-end tasks and journals, ensuring all financial records are up-to-date and accurate.
* Conduct general ledger account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data.
* Prepare and distribute monthly cost reports to operational personnel, providing insights into financial performance and trends.
* Coordinate the timely completion of weekly and monthly reports, ensuring all stakeholders receive critical information in a timely manner.
* Maintain SOX control files and comply with management systems and processes, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.
* Maintain accurate records of accounts receivable and contractor back charges, ensuring prompt and efficient settlement of outstanding debts.
* Perform ad-hoc tasks as directed by management, applying skills and expertise to drive business outcomes.
About You
* You possess a good understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.
* Previous experience in SAP requisitioning, service entry, and purchase order analysis is highly desirable.
* You have strong MS Office software skills, particularly in MS Excel and Word, with the ability to analyze complex data sets and communicate findings effectively.
* You possess excellent verbal and written English communication skills, with the ability to articulate ideas clearly and concisely.
* You demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality results under pressure.
* You are able to work collaboratively with other departments to achieve business goals, demonstrating a willingness to contribute to team success.
* Prior mine site experience would be beneficial, although not essential.
* You have previous experience dealing with auditors and audit preparation, with a solid understanding of regulatory requirements.
* You are able to work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines, prioritizing tasks and managing competing demands.
* You hold unrestricted work rights in Australia, with the ability to relocate to remote sites as required.
