About the Role
As our Site Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating all on‐site construction activities to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget and to the required quality standards. You will work closely with the Project Manager, subcontractors, suppliers and consultants to keep the program moving and resolve issues quickly and effectively.
Key Responsibilities
* Review the construction program and subcontractor scopes to ensure clear understanding of deliverables, quality requirements and timeframes.
* Communicate proactively with architects, surveyors, engineers, suppliers and contractors on all key project matters.
* Support the Construction Manager to refine and maintain an efficient construction program aligned with contractual obligations.
* Supervise and train workers to ensure works are completed safely, on time and to specification, including inspections for compliance with the Building Code, Australian Standards and contract requirements.
* Manage defect prevention and rectification activities to maintain high‐quality outcomes.
* Submit material and equipment orders in advance to minimise delays and wastage, place orders upon approval.
* Check, receipt and record all materials and equipment delivered to site, maintaining accurate usage and consumption records.
* Identify and resolve on‐site issues promptly, escalating where required.
* Monitor WHS on site, including hazard identification, risk assessment, supervision, safe work methods, and incident reporting/investigation.
* Maintain site security, including protection of materials, equipment and partially completed works.
* Keep accurate daily site records, including photographic and video evidence where required.
About You
* Proven experience as a Site Manager in residential construction.
* Sound technical knowledge of the building process and construction sequencing.
* Strong commitment to the practical application of safe work practices.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Ability to lead, supervise and motivate workers and subcontractors.
* High attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality outcomes.
* Current White Card and valid driver's licence.
