NSW Health invites applications for a Registered Nurse to deliver specialised palliative care in Armidale.
About the Service & Location
Based in the heart of Armidale, the New England North West Specialist P Care Service provides home and community care. The multidisciplinary team includes Registered Nurses, a Social Worker, Occupational Therapist, Dietitian and a Palliative Care Medical Officer.
About the Role
As a Registered Nurse you will provide complex, specialised nursing care to clients and families living with life‑limiting illness.
* Conduct home visits and comprehensive holistic assessments
* Provide symptom management, emotional support and education
* Coordinate care with GPs, allied health and specialist teams
* Advocate for patients and families to ensure person‑centred care
What We're Looking For
* Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
* Experience in palliative care or strong willingness to learn
* Excellent communication and emotional intelligence
* Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
* Confidence in clinical decision‑making and patient advocacy
* Commitment to person‑centred, culturally respectful care
