Your new opportunityThe Legal and Administrative Review Office (LARO) is an autonomous office within Queensland Treasury, delivering independent expert legal, right to information and privacy services across the Treasury portfolio. As Office Manager, you will be working directly alongside the General Counsel and senior leaders to keep a complex, fast-moving legal office running at its best. This is a key role that demands discretion, initiative and a genuine interest in contributing to the effective administration of government legal services.In this role, you will provide:Executive & Operational Support- Provide proactive, high-level confidential support to the General Counsel, Deputy General Counsels and LARO officers- Manage the General Counsel's diary and correspondence, and coordinate LARO's interface with the Treasurer's Office, Under Treasurer's Office and senior managementFinancial & Procurement Management- Lead budget development and monthly monitoring and reporting for LARO- Manage payment of invoices, asset registers, corporate card and other reconciliations- Assist in managing whole-of-government legal services panel arrangements, consultancies and contractorsPeople, Systems & Compliance- Act as the central coordination point for recruitment, onboarding, training and development across LARO- Monitor and manage the Legal Services operating system to ensure compliance with Treasury policies and professional standards- Coordinate facilities and IT activities, including staff onboarding and separation processesStakeholder Engagement & Business Improvement- Build and sustain relationships across Treasury, the public sector and external stakeholders including law firms and barristers- Identify and implement business improvement opportunities and proactively manage compliance with Treasury`s policies and proceduresWhat experience you will bring:Administrative & Legal Environment Expertise- Demonstrated ability to provide high-level confidential support in a legal or government setting- Strong organisational skills across diary management, correspondence and meeting coordinationFinancial Acumen- Proven experience managing budgets, financial processes and compliance obligationsCommunication & Stakeholder Skills- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills- Capacity to act as a central point of contact across diverse internal and external stakeholdersCollaboration & Relationship Building- Track record of fostering productive working relationships across teams and with public and private sector partnersWhilst there are no mandatory qualifications needed for this role, relevant qualifications will be highly regarded.How to applyTo submit your application, click on the Apply link to provide:Your resume detailing relevant experienceA cover letter of no more than two pages outlining why you are interested in this position and how your work experience is relevant to the responsibilities and core capabilities for this role.Queensland Treasury is committed to building an inclusive and diverse workforce that reflects the community we serve and treating all applicants equitably.
