The department is a premier centre for clinical and biomedical research and education. We are seeking a skilled professional to develop, test and validate AI models for application within healthcare and infectious diseases.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop large language models in healthcare: Create and refine large language models that can safely operate within the healthcare sector.
* Drive Agentic AI innovation: Develop innovative applications of Agentic AI in various infectious diseases domains, including clinical decision support, infection prevention, and antimicrobial stewardship.
* Integrate AI into healthcare systems: Collaborate with hospital IT teams to integrate AI solutions into electronic medical record data, clinical microbiology reports, and other hospital systems.
This role requires access to Alfred Health's electronic medical record data and integration into hospital IT systems.
