You will ensure early childhood education and care (ECEC) services meet the highest standards of safety, quality, and compliance by leading complex investigations, guiding regulatory decisions, and providing expert advice that directly impacts the wellbeing of children. The role requires an experienced investigator with high‐level skills in sensitive and protracted investigations related to allegations of non‐compliance with legislative provisions. You should be able to prepare detailed investigation reports and briefs of evidence, and to provide support, guidance, mentoring and capability building to team members regarding investigative best practice.
About the Role
* Undertake complex regulatory activities, making recommendations and decisions that support the Regulatory Authority to carry out its functions under the legislation and in accordance with principles of good administrative decision making.
* Lead, support and guide high‐level, sensitive and/or protracted investigations relating to alleged breaches of the Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations.
* Model strong investigative skills to build capability of team members regarding investigations.
* Apply effective record‐keeping practices and use regulatory systems to capture accurate and timely data, and regularly monitor and review data quality.
* Provide expert advice that is consistent, accurate and timely to support the Regulatory Authority leadership team and external stakeholders including regulated ECEC providers and services, the general public and other agencies.
* Contribute to the provision of high‐level documentation, including briefs of evidence, correspondence and reports to support regulatory and executive decision making.
* Engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders including members of the sector.
This position services the North Lakes & Maroochydore offices.
