Lead safety across corporate and commercial teams, influencing leaders to embed a proactive safety culture.
Reporting to the Head of Safety and Wellbeing – Commercial & Corporate, the ESW Manager will partner with commercial and corporate leaders across Asahi Beverages to embed a proactive, risk-based safety culture across a uniquely dynamic environment.
You will work closely with leadership teams to drive line management accountability for safety and wellbeing, partnering with a broad range of internal stakeholders to embed a strong safety culture and deliver continuous improvement across systems, programs and practices.
Key Responsibilities
* Partner with line management to implement the Safety & Wellbeing plan and associated programs across Corporate & Commercial teams
* Work closely with leadership teams to drive accountability for the management of environment, safety and wellbeing business risks
* Provide ongoing coaching to drive timely reporting, quality investigations and improved action management
* Support reviews of incident data trends and drive improvement initiatives across Commercial
* Lead, coach and support line management with Critical Control Verification Programs and gap closure planning
* Support continuous improvement of safety systems and procedures through stakeholder engagement and feedback
* Support and facilitate assurance activities and maintain the Safety & Wellbeing compliance schedule
* Guide leaders on Workers' Compensation, injury management and return-to-work processes
* Support early intervention and CARE process requirements to drive proactive injury management
* Work with internal and external resources to ensure safety training, induction and compliance requirements are met
* Manage regulatory matters including external reportable incidents
About You
* Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Health & Safety or a relevant discipline
* 3–5 years' experience leading Safety & Wellbeing across multiple businesses or teams
* Demonstrated ability to lead safety and wellbeing across multiple teams and cultures
* Working knowledge of ISO45001, AS4801 and/or ISO14001 (or equivalent)
* Experience facilitating training programs and continuous improvement initiatives
* Strong communication and influencing skills with management and frontline leaders, without direct line authority
* Solid planning, organising and problem-solving skills
* Experience working in FMCG, retail, hospitality, logistics or commercial sales is highly regarded
* Cert IV in Workplace Assessment & Training is highly regarded
* Open to interstate travel as required to support stakeholder engagement across the business
