Border Express is an industry leading national transport company, and we're currently seeking an experienced MC Linehaul Driver to join our growing team.
This is a permanent, full‐time opportunity operating a Melbourne to Holbrook changeover linehaul run every night Monday to Friday.
What You'll Be Doing
Responsible for completing a scheduled overnight linehaul run from our Cranbourne depot to our Sydney depot, leaving Monday and Wednesday nights and returning the following night, and a Friday night Tarcutta changeover so you are back home for the weekend.
Operate our modern Mercedes Actross prime mover and cart a Tautliner B double‐trailer configuration of general freight.
Consistent start times leaving the depot between 6:00–8:30 pm and direct, well‐planned runs.
Key Responsibilities
* Complete Melbourne to Holbrook changeover linehaul run.
* Open and close trailer curtains as required.
* Strap and unstrap freight as required.
* Complete all required paperwork and driver documentation.
* Operate in line with fatigue, safety, and compliance requirements.
* Maintain a high standard of professionalism and reliability.
Qualifications
* MC licence (minimum two years experience).
* BFM accreditation and logbooks.
* Previous linehaul and/or night driving experience (preferred).
* Strong knowledge of Melbourne to Sydney corridors.
* Ability to meet tight delivery schedules.
* Physically capable of handling curtains and straps.
* Excellent safety awareness and work ethic.
* Sound knowledge of fatigue management, DG, and chain of responsibility.
* Willingness to complete a pre‐employment medical and National Police Check (paid for by Border Express).
