What You'll Be Doing
The primary purpose of the position is to provide quality obstetric and gynaecological care to patients in a complex clinical environment. Unaccredited trainees will work under an appropriate level of supervision according to their level of competence to evaluate, diagnose, treat and provide consultation to female patients of all ages presenting in any condition or stage of pregnancy or the puerperium; and female patients presenting with illnesses, injuries and disorders of the gynaecological or genitourinary system.
Unaccredited trainees will work in a variety of inpatient and outpatient settings including inpatient ward care, birthing unit, theatres and outpatients (e.g. antenatal, postnatal and gynaecology) clinics. This position can contribute towards a RANZCOG diploma or assist trainees to obtain an accredited RANZCOG training position in the future.
* Qualifications and experience commensurate with the Essential Requirements for the role
* Demonstrated ability to work in a multidisciplinary team, including providing leadership and direction to ensure appropriate management of patients
* Ability to work independently within a supervised complex clinical environment utilizing excellent clinical skills, judgment and expertise
* Time‑management and problem‑solving skills
* Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and computer skills
* Commitment to quality improvement, patient safety and risk management
* Commitment to participating in training and development opportunities in obstetrics and gynaecology
