Description

Are you passionate about supporting families and young children through life's toughest challenges?

Join a team that's making a real difference in the lives of children aged 0–11 and their families in Northern Adelaide. We're looking for a compassionate and skilled mental health professional to help shape brighter futures.

The Northern Adelaide Children and Family Mental Health Service operates from our Salisbury hub, providing mental health and wellbeing supports to families and their children (aged 11 and under), including perinatal services.

We offer a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment and provide support to all families including Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander People, CALD and LGBTIQ+ communities. We are looking for a Mental Health Clinician to join our team.

This role can be full-time or part-time—let's chat about what works for you. Enjoy flexible hours, regular supervision, and a supportive team culture that prioritises professional growth and personal balance.

Salary and Benefits

Salary: $100,000 – $105,000 per year (pro rata for part-time), plus superannuation and salary packaging benefits. Equivalent to $51.00 – $53 per hour, depending on experience.

You can see all the LLW benefits on our Careers page, but some are:

* Free onsite parking and use of a pool car for outreach work
* There is a great variety of delicious places for lunch nearby
* Discounts – save on everyday items including groceries, petrol, and leisure activities
* Regular clinical supervision, case conferencing and debriefings

You will have prior experience in the Human Services field and are looking for a challenging and engaging role where you can support families and children with severe and complex mental health concerns. You will provide and deliver high-quality services while engaging with a diverse range of clients, their families and communities.

Your Skills and Attributes
* You will need to hold a suitable bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Occupational Therapy or Nursing.
* A minimum of one year in a similar role post-placement experience is required. This experience must include providing counselling or case management services outside of your placement.
* Proficiency in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT).
* Experience working with parents and children of culturally diverse groups, Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander, CALD and LGBTIQ+ communities.
* Being a team player – we are a small, supportive team and we all pitch in to get the job done.
* Strong communication skills – written and verbal – you'll be working with families and young children so the ability to relate is essential.
* Ability to self-care and self-regulate during times of stress and high pressure.

There is some outreach work in this role, so you will also need a current Australian Driver's Licence. And because you'll be working with children, a current Working with Children Check is required.

We welcome applications from professionals with mental health competencies, including:

* Psychologists – General Registration with AHPRA
* Mental Health Nurses – Registered with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia and accredited with ACMHN
