Details of the role:HABIT-ILE (Hand-Arm Bimanual Intensive Training Including Lower Extremity) is a two-week program designed to help children and teens with cerebral palsy and similar physical disabilities improve their ability to perform essential everyday tasks.
Delivered one-on-one within a group setting, it combines individual intensive therapy with social interaction.Provides you with a sense of purpose, personal and professional growth Make a positive contribution to the Cerebral Palsy community Support you to make a career change, explore new experiences and make new social connectionsDevelop confidence and build new skills Gain hands on experience working with children and adults with cerebral palsy and similar conditions Dates & Times:07/07/2025 - 18/07/2025Each Day - 9:00 am - 3:30 pmDeveloped in Belgium in 2011, HABIT-ILE uses the latest science in neuroplasticity and is clinically proven to provide lasting functional improvement.
HABIT-ILE uses daily motor learning to improve functional abilities like eating, dressing and movement.
The program focuses on bimanual therapy, enhancing coordination between both hands while strengthening leg use and balance.This program is perfect for OT and Physio students looking to gain hands on experience in an innovative program.Role requirements: 16 years and above NDIS Worker Screening Working with Children Check (NSW) Working with Vulnerable People (ACT) *Important information: Please let us know if you have any pre-existing injuries or illnesses which you are currently seeking, or have sought, medical treatment for which you think may impact your ability to volunteer.
