About the Role
Chisholm is seeking an experienced, student‐focused Education Manager for our Defence Delivery Business Area.
* Coordinate and delegate tasks to deliver operational outcomes, including teacher performance, timetabling, resource allocation, teacher loads, and student progress.
* Manage and mitigate project risks to ensure contractual obligations are met and escalation processes are implemented within agreed timelines.
* Remain agile and solution‐focused in response to stakeholder needs and challenges.
* Lead and manage teachers, including supervision, performance, professional and vocational development requirements.
* Participate in developing and implementing student retention strategies that improve learning outcomes across the school.
* Examine and recommend alternative flexible delivery strategies.
* Ensure high‐quality, current resources, teaching materials, and assessments are used in teaching and learning activities.
* Confirm that teaching materials and resources meet all regulatory standards, training packages, and related requirements.
* Maximise student engagement, retention, satisfaction, and a positive teaching environment through collaboration with the Defence Delivery team and key stakeholders.
* Implement methods and strategies to support learners, including mentoring, work preparation programs, study‐skills support, alternative delivery and assessment methodologies, and communication strategies.
Qualifications
* Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122) or qualifications meeting the Standards for RTOs 2025.
* Adult teaching qualification at AQF 6 level or higher.
* Registration with relevant professional bodies required for the teaching discipline.
* Vocational qualifications relevant to or above the required level and industry currency.
