About The Role

Our Facilities Coordinator is responsible for the effective operation, maintenance and compliance of the local campus. The role, under the direction of the Facilities Manager and working with other campus stakeholders, ensures that campus facilities are safe, functional, well‐maintained and appropriately equipped for staff and students. This newly created position is based at our Melbourne Campus on Bourke Street, Melbourne.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead day‐to‐day facilities management at the local campus, ensuring all campus facilities, equipment, staff and learning spaces are clean, safe, functional and well‐maintained.
* Serve as the on‐the‐ground point of contact for building managers, landlords and contractors and collaborate with the Facilities Manager and other Facilities Coordinators to ensure consistent service standards and responsive issue resolution.
* Ensure campus compliance with relevant building, fire, environmental and regulatory requirements.
* Coordinate procurement, delivery and installation of new and replacement furniture, fixtures and equipment under the direction of the Facilities Manager.
* Contribute to the planning and delivery of campus openings, relocations, refurbishments, make‐goods and infrastructure upgrades.
* Implement safety management processes at the campus aligned with WHS legislation and safety standards. Conduct regular safety inspections, risk assessments, emergency drills and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
* Fulfil and/or coordinate fire warden and first aid responsibilities, ensuring trained personnel and appropriate equipment are in place.
* Lead and/or support incident investigations with campus leadership and the Facilities Manager and ensure follow‐up actions are completed.
* Provide WHS training, guidance and resources to campus teams; promote a proactive culture of safety, risk awareness and compliance across all campuses.
* Build solid working relationships with internal stakeholders, including Student Services, Academic, Finance and People & Culture. Communicate proactively with stakeholders, providing advice and updates on facilities issues, risks, best practice and upcoming projects.

Education, Experience and Skills

* Qualification in a relevant field.
* Minimum 2 years of experience in facilities management.
* Strong understanding of WHS legislation, building codes and compliance requirements.
* Preferred experience within the education sector.
* Excellent people‐management skills with the ability to work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
* Strong stakeholder engagement and communication abilities.
* Proven ability to manage competing priorities and solve problems.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office365.
* Cross‐cultural awareness.
