Community Palliative Care Counsellor Opportunity
We are seeking a compassionate and innovative counsellor to join our community palliative care multidisciplinary team.

About the Role:
* The Allied Health department provides services to both inpatient and community programs, offering a comprehensive approach to patient care.
* This position requires a dedicated and empathetic counsellor who can provide non-judgmental support through active listening and effective communication.
* The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the emotional and psychological stages of grief, including cultural sensitivity and an awareness of complex grief and its impact.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide compassionate and individualized support to patients and their families during times of need.
* Work collaboratively with the community palliative care team to deliver high-quality patient-centred care.
* Nurture friendly, respectful relationships with colleagues and contribute to a positive team environment.
Requirements:
* Bachelor degree or masters in counselling or social work (essential), with minimum 2 years clinical experience in bereavement (preferred).
* Excellent clinical, time management, organisational and communication skills, with the ability to adapt and problem solve.
* A compassionate, flexible and positive approach to effective patient care and management.
