URGENT need for a Psychiatry Locum Registrar to work with the Acute Care Community - Hospital In The Home (HITH) team Full-time day work On-call may be required with Clinical Director and Team Leader supervision Remuneration: $1,500 per day Travel and Accommodation are provided. The Statewide Mental Health Service reforms are also providing expanding opportunities in services such as The Acute Care, Police, Ambulance, and Clinician Early Response (PACER) and Hospital in the Home Teams. In partnership with the University of Tasmania the Service has also recently established the Tasmanian Centre for Mental Health Service Innovation which is dedicated to helping enhance and improve mental health service offerings for children, young people, and adults across Tasmania. All our services work closely together to focus on delivering excellence in healthcare to achieve improved outcomes for our consumers, our workforce and the Tasmanian community. As part of a multidisciplinary Mental Health Service delivering high quality mental health care and in accordance with Mental Health Service principles, National Mental Health Standards, Agency policy, legal requirements and relevant professional competencies, the Career Medical Officer provides psychiatric services to the Acute Care Team (ACT) and Mental Health Hospital in the Home (MHHITH) which are co-located. The locum will be required to provide clinical support to both services and see clients in their homes. The Acute Care Team (ACT) has been established as part of the ongoing Tasmanian Mental Health Reform Program that provides timely access to centralised and standardised mental health triage, assessment, and treatment for consumers of ED, the Mental Health Short Stay Unit, the Mental Health Inpatient Unit, RHH Consultant Liaison Psychiatry and Mental Health Hospital in the Home (MHHITH).
