Offer description

Join a landmark infrastructure project reshaping the lower North Island. Be the face of the takit office, supporting teams, visitors and community. Help embed cultural values, safety, and wellbeing into daily operations.

About the Project

Te Pae o Tararua: the 2NL highway will dramatically improve safety, resilience, and efficiency, while increasing transport choices for a growing population. The project is delivered in partnership with NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi, Muapoko Tribal Authority, local hap of Ngti Raukawa ki te Tonga, and Horowhenua District Council. It is a transformative infrastructure project using a two-alliance model. Shared project principles include treading lightly on the whenua, building strong partnerships, and delivering an enduring legacy.

About the Role

We are looking for a friendly, organised, and proactive Office Administrator to help keep the 2NL Southern Alliance office and project site offices running smoothly. You will be the go‐to person for all things office-related, handling tasks from greeting visitors to ensuring systems and processes run smoothly.

Key Responsibilities
* Be the friendly face at reception, welcoming visitors and managing meeting rooms.
* Take care of ordering supplies, support carpool bookings, and keep shared spaces tidy and functional.
* Support the team with admin tasks such as formatting documents, data entry, managing records, and coordinating travel and diaries.
* Pitch in with organising events, including staff meetings, team activities, and celebrations.
* Keep health & safety registers updated, support inductions, and coordinate weekly site inspections.
* Champion a safe, inclusive, and positive office culture that reflects Te AoMori and alliance values.
About You
* Diploma in Business Administration or equivalent experience.
* Previous experience in admin, facilities coordination or office support.
* Confident using Microsoft Office and document management systems.
* Organised, detail‐oriented, and able to work calmly in a fast‐paced, safety‐critical environment.
* Great communicator with a friendly, professional manner.
* Committed to health, safety, and inclusive practices.
* Familiarity with Te AoMori and cultural competency is a big plus.

We know that great people come from all kinds of backgrounds. If you have transferable skills, a great attitude, and the drive to contribute to a high‐performing project, we want to hear from you.

We are an equal opportunity employer. People of all ages, abilities, sexual orientations, gender identities and cultures are strongly encouraged to apply. All successful applicants must have valid work rights for New Zealand and/or Pacific Islands and pass a satisfactory pre‐employment medical, including drug and alcohol testing.
