TLH Recruitment is proudly representing a market leader in the fresh food industry based in Homebush, seeking experienced and enthusiastic Food Production QC/Team Leader to join their team This opportunity is an ongoing casual role with**full-time hours.
PM shift available
$37.16 per hour**
This role will involve assessing all efficiencies, downtime and further improvements for products coming off the lines in the production areas.
*Responsibilities:*
* Measure and review daily production key performance indicators (KPIs) across safety, quality, cost, throughput, and labour efficiency.
* Maintain a clean, organised, and audit-ready factory environment at all times.
* Monitor machine operators and process workers to ensure that they are following correct processes
* Coach and train operators in correct procedures
* Conduct daily pre-start checks in collaboration with the maintenance team to ensure machinery is fully operational prior to shift commencement.
* Provide strong, effective leadership that inspires, motivates, and drives team performance.
* Champion a safety-first culture, prioritising the health and well being of all team members.
* Ensure all staff receive adequate training, supervision, and support to perform their duties safely and competently.
* Enforce strict compliance with personal protective equipment (PPE) policies and procedures.
* Works with management team to achieve all financial objectives
Requirements:
* Experience in food production / manufacturing is essential
* Strong leadership skills are a must and the ability to hold people accountable
* Good knowledge of GMP / HACCP and WHS
* Good technical skills
* Able to work in a fast paced, chilled environment (0-5 degrees)
* Good communication skills, both written and verbal
* Ability to work full time hours - must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
