Quality Control Inspector

Brooks – Laboratory Automation Solutions (LAS), our clinical diagnostic division, specialises in the design and manufacture of compact, innovative benchtop automation for optimising pre‐ and post‐analytical workflows in pathology and analytical laboratories. We are searching for a Quality Control Inspector to join our team as we accelerate our growth journey. This is your opportunity to be part of a team that is servicing the medical industry in providing laboratory automation products that make a difference in the world.

What you'll do
* Be a champion for all quality control processes
* Inspection of incoming and outgoing products to meet with Quality and Engineering standards
* Resolving quality issues as identified by our manufacturing team
* In conjunction with the Quality Manager, maintain key functions of the Quality system including the disposition of non‐conformances
* Liaising with Suppliers on any non‐conformance issues
* Working with the Quality Manager to review customer defect claims
* Undertake internal audits
* Review and maintain production documentation
What you'll bring
* Ideally a minimum of 3 years demonstrable experience in a similar quality role
* Engineering trade background or strong production experience
* Experience with the following manufacturing processes: metal machining, sheet‐metal forming, metal casting, plastic moulding and forming
* A comprehensive knowledge of GD&T and metrology techniques would be an advantage
* Experience with the use of measuring equipment and able to read and comprehend engineering drawings and documents
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to liaise at all levels
* Capable of being able to multi‐task with an eye for detail
* Ability to work individually or as a team to consistently deliver results
* Willing to travel domestically and internationally
* Working knowledge of a Quality Management System ie: ISO 9001, ISO 13485, TS16949
* Exposure to lean manufacturing and/or continuous process improvement concepts
* Experience with cable manufacturing, PCB's and electronics would be highly valued
* Experience using Oracle Cloud, Agile PLM is an advantage
