Mental Health Clinician – Community

Mental Health, Drug & Alcohol, Mudgee


About the role

The Mental Health Clinician is part of the Mudgee Community Mental Health & Drug and Alcohol Service and provides Acute Mental Health Clinical Case‑Management services as part of a Multi‑Disciplinary Team. The clinicians provide this acute mental health support for clients of all ages, but predominantly adult clients, in the Mudgee Region who are experiencing a mental illness.

This position sits in the community of Mudgee, a town renowned for its food and wine festivals, beautiful parks and gardens, walking trails and cycling tracks, sports venues and community engagement.

Mudgee MHDA is an innovative mental health service providing a one‑stop hub and support for people experiencing a mental illness and has strong professional links with other health professionals in the region.

It operates from 8:30am to 5pm weekdays and staff will be exposed to a wide cross section of experiences within a busy Rural Community Mental Health Service which is supported by Tertiary In‑Patient services in Dubbo & Orange.

Orientation to the Service will be comprehensive and adapted to the individual needs of the successful applicant and be complemented by supports from Regional Senior Clinicians across all streams.
