About FIT Merchandising
FIT Merchandising is a specialised sales and merchandising company, providing support within Bunnings and the independent hardware industry across Australia and New Zealand. We deliver hands‐on, in‐field support to our clients, working directly on the shop floor to ensure products are presented at their best, promotional activity is executed seamlessly, and opportunities to drive sales are identified and acted on in real time.
About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Merchandiser to join our team on a casual basis. In this role you'll bring retail spaces to life by implementing visual merchandising plans, arranging products for maximum impact, and creating engaging displays that delight customers. No prior experience is necessary.
Work hours are flexible, with scheduling between 6:00am and 6:00pm Monday to Friday. Weekend and public holiday shifts are not required.

* Translate visual merchandising plans into reality by placing products accurately, adjusting layouts, and aligning displays with client expectations.
* Construct eye‐catching promotional displays from the ground up, ensuring structural integrity, strong visual appeal, and full stock support.
* Complete accurate electronic reporting for all store visits, capturing assembly and project work in real time in‐field.
* Monitor stock levels, manage backstock, and work collaboratively with store teams to ensure product availability and smooth execution of in‐store activity.
* Gather feedback through client surveys and in‐store observations to measure effectiveness, identify opportunities, and support client objectives.
* Build and maintain strong collaborative relationships with retail store stakeholders, acting as a trusted point of contact for client brands and in‐store teams.
* Effectively manage workloads across multiple stores and projects, prioritising deadlines and working efficiently in a fast‐paced retail environment.
* Support larger store transformation projects, including bay refits, range updates, and layout changes, often working as part of a team.
Qualifications
* Merchandising experience is ideal but not required; training is provided.
* Hands‐on and practical skills in using tools, assembling displays, and completing in‐store projects to a high standard.
* Customer and client‐focused, capable of building strong relationships with retail teams.
* Detail‐oriented, with commitment to accurate product placement, stock management, planogram compliance, and real‐time reporting.
* Proactive problem solver, identifying opportunities to improve displays and store operations.
* Team player, collaborating effectively with colleagues, clients, and store staff.
* Flexible and adaptable, comfortable with dynamic retail environments and changing priorities.
* Strong time and task management, capable of managing multiple stores, projects, and deadlines efficiently.
* Data‐driven, uses feedback, surveys, and observations to support client objectives.
