Position overview: Reporting to the Manager, Specialist Inspections, the Specialist Inspector, Plumbing will provide expert plumbing knowledge and support within the Specialist Inspections team. This includes conducting complex and high-risk inspections, providing specialist advice to internal teams, performing critical compliance reviews, and contributing to the BPC's response to the Government's 10-year Housing Policy Statement with a focus on Class 2 buildings. Our ideal candidate will have: * Extensive experience in the building and/or plumbing industry, with advanced knowledge of the Building and Plumbing Regulations 2018, regulatory frameworks, codes, and standards. * Demonstrated ability to conduct complex inspections and audits in a regulatory environment, including Class 2 apartment buildings, and/or experience managing compliance operations. * Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify workable solutions and implement them effectively. * Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear and concise reports, briefs, and correspondence. * Registration (or eligibility) as a plumber under Part 12A of the Building Act 1993, supported by relevant qualifications and a current Victorian driver's licence.
