About the opportunity
Our Neonatal Unit provides specialised, family‐centred care to newborns requiring complex medical and developmental support. You will join a highly skilled, supportive multidisciplinary team committed to excellence in neonatal care, education and continuous improvement, within a service that values innovation, collaboration and staff wellbeing.
The Neonatal Clinical Nurse Consultant plays a pivotal leadership role within the unit, influencing best practice, mentoring staff and driving high‐quality outcomes for babies and their families.
Responsibilities
* Provide expert clinical leadership and consultancy to deliver high‐quality, evidence‐based, family‐centred neonatal care across the service.
* Assessment, coordination and evaluation of complex neonatal care, including clinical problem solving, quality improvement initiatives and support of advanced clinical practice.
* Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to provide a responsive, flexible service, contributing to education, research, policy development and service improvement within the Neonatal Unit.

To thrive in this role, you will have:
* Extensive clinical experience in neonatal nursing with demonstrated advanced practice expertise.
* Excellent clinical leadership, time management, organisational and communication skills, with the ability to problem‐solve in complex clinical environments.
* A compassionate, flexible and positive approach to neonatal care, family support and staff mentorship.
* The ability to build and sustain respectful, collaborative relationships and contribute positively to a high‐performing multidisciplinary team.
You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:
* A current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check.
* Proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders.
