Job Title: Retail Finance Accounting Lead
About the Role:
As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the timely and accurate preparation of monthly management accounts.
You will review and approve journal entries prepared by the accounting group and manage the preparation of operational and financial statements.
Additionally, you will prepare and manage outgoings reconciliations, budgets, and wash-ups.
Key responsibilities include:
* Overseeing the calculation of Percentage Rent, Extended Trade, Occupancy Capping, and Direct Recharges
* Ensuring compliance with company policies, generally accepted accounting principles, and regulations
* Building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will require:
* A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
* CPA/CA or equivalent combination of education and experience
* Several years of experience in retail property accounting, including demonstrated experience in progressively responsible supervisory/management positions
* Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to effectively interact with senior management, employees, and external auditors
* Advanced knowledge of accounting systems and software (MRI, Yardi)
