Role Summary
* Location: Footscray Hospital
* Employment Type: Ongoing, Part-Time
* Salary: Admin Grade 5 + Super + Salary Packaging
When injury impacts employees, expert mental health support can make all the difference to a safe and sustainable Return to Work (RTW).
As a dedicated Injury Management Mental Health Specialist, you will assist individuals to navigate the psychological challenges that often come with workplace injuries; your experience in the RTW field using tailored and evidence-based plans will support our people on the journey back to work and back to life.
About You
Involve yourself in supporting injured employees to recover from workplace injuries and help them get back to normal as soon as possible.
As a self‐starter with an employee‐centric approach, you will have ample opportunity to thrive in this varied and rewarding role.
To be Successful in This Role, You Will Need:
* Understanding of workplace injury and compensation systems
* Return‐to‐work planning and vocational rehabilitation
* Functional capacity awareness and recovery timelines
* Managing complex cases with multiple stakeholders
* Risk assessment for psychological injury
* Strong understanding of mental health conditions (e.g., anxiety, depression, trauma)
* Strategies to support safe and sustainable return to work
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
