Responsibilities
- Support the recruitment and onboarding process for Midwives in a private hospital setting.
- Provide a high-quality candidate experience and ensure best-practice recruitment standards.
- Collaborate with clinical leaders and the NUM (Nursing Unit Manager) to support ongoing professional growth and successful placements.
- Contribute to orientation and ongoing guidance for new hires, helping maintain a smooth integration into the team.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure compliance with pre-employment checks and relevant policies.
What You Will Be Doing In This Role
- We’re seeking experienced Registered Midwives to join our team in NSW’s largest private hospital, with full time permanent roles available in the Birthing Unit.
- Provide personalised care and expert support to new families while rotating shifts, including some night shifts, to support a healthy work-life balance.
- Participate in a thorough two-week orientation and ongoing guidance from the NUM and Team Leaders.
- Support a collaborative, nurturing work environment focused on exceptional patient care and professional development.
- Enjoy a $10,000 sign-on bonus (T&C;’s apply) as part of the compensation package.
Qualifications
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Midwife with a minimum of 5 years post-registration experience within a Birthing Unit.
- Experience in a private hospital setting is preferred but not required for all qualified midwives who are passionate about making a difference.
- Demonstrated empathy and emotional intelligence with patients and families; ability to build trust and rapport.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.
- Flexible with shift availability and able to commit to a rotating roster that includes some nights.
- Full Australian working rights.
