The Opportunity

As a Manager of the Privacy and Responsible Information Sharing (PRIS) team, you will lead the team across compliance activities for the business.

You will undertake assurance activities to identify and prevent any potential risk of data breach and make recommendations for policy and procedural changes to ensure ongoing compliance with the Privacy and Responsible Information Sharing (PRIS) Act 2024. You are also responsible for leading a significant cultural shift to ensure stronger privacy practices are embedded into day‐to‐day processes.

Additionally, you will lead the team that is responsible for maintaining compliance across Information Classification, establishing an Information Asset Register as a single source of truth for all Communities Information Assets; the PRIS Act 2024; and the Privacy Act 1988, to ensure that Communities avoid legal, regulatory, and reputational risks including monetary fines and penalties.

Responsibilities
* Leading the implementation and ongoing management of the PRIS Operating Model, embedding privacy and responsible information sharing principles across Communities.
* Identifying, developing and implementing business improvement activities that have been identified as a result of compliance assessment, data matching and analysis.
* Maintaining and providing effective leadership to staff and building a culture of collaboration, customer service and performance.
* Preparing and presenting performance metrics including compliance KPIs and dashboards for internal and external reporting mechanisms.
* Ensuring statutory notifications to the Information Commissioner and State Chief Data Officer are completed within legislated timeframes.
* Representing the Division on internal and external committees and working parties and the Department at various agency, community and State forums to deliver organisational and divisional outcomes.
