PureCDM is seeking an experienced and energetic Associate Director, Clinical Data Management to help lead our growing CDM function.
This is an exciting opportunity for a senior Clinical Data Management professional who enjoys combining technical expertise, operational leadership, client engagement and team development. You will play a key role in supporting high-quality study delivery, coaching senior team members, improving processes and helping shape a strong, scalable CDM function.

About the Role
As Associate Director, Clinical Data Management, you will provide senior operational leadership across assigned studies, programs, clients and CDM team members.
You will oversee CDM delivery, support resourcing and workload planning, act as a senior escalation point, contribute to process improvement, and help develop a high-performing team.
This role is ideal for someone who is confident leading people, supporting complex study delivery and building strong client relationships in a specialist CRO environment.
What You'll Be Doing
You will:
Lead, coach and support CDM team members to deliver high-quality outcomes.
Provide oversight of end-to-end CDM activities, including eCRF design, database build, edit checks, UAT, data cleaning, reconciliation, query management, database lock and close-out.
Support Principal CDMs and Study Leads with complex study issues, client expectations, risks and escalations.
Ensure studies are appropriately resourced, prioritised and delivered to agreed timelines, budgets and quality standards.
Build strong client relationships through proactive communication, expert guidance and practical solutions.
Represent CDM in client meetings, project governance forums and escalation discussions.
Contribute to process improvement initiatives.
Support quality, compliance, audit readiness and inspection readiness across CDM activities.
About You
You are a confident and capable CDM leader who brings technical credibility, sound judgement and a genuine interest in developing others.
You will bring:
Significant Clinical Data Management experience within a CRO, pharmaceutical, biotechnology or clinical research environment.
Strong understanding of end-to-end CDM processes and clinical trial delivery.
Previous leadership experience within a CDM function.
Experience overseeing multiple studies, programs, clients or complex data management activities.
Strong project planning, risk management, issue escalation and stakeholder management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong client-facing capability and confidence managing expectations.
Knowledge of GCP, ICH guidelines, clinical trial regulations and inspection-readiness requirements.
Experience with EDC systems, external data handling, reconciliation and database lock activities.

Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Health Sciences, Clinical Research, Data Management, Statistics, Information Systems or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
Minimum of 8 years' Clinical Data Management experience.
Previous leadership experience within Clinical Data Management.
Minimum of 5+ years of leadership experience within Clinical Data Management is required.
