Where you'll be working
Population and Community Health (PaCH) is part of South Eastern Sydney Local Health District. PaCH provides community health services that give care to individuals, families and carers, as well as population health services that focus on the whole community or key groups within the community. PaCH's services are provided at the District's hospitals, community-based facilities including child and family health centres, community health centres and specialist clinics. We work with other service providers across South Eastern Sydney Local Health District, including hospitals and mental health services. The role
SESLHD Drug and Alcohol (D&A) Service offers a range of treatment and support services for people with problems from their alcohol, prescription or illicit drug use, and/or their families and carers. Outpatient D&A services are located in clinics at the Langton Centre in Surry Hills, St George Hospital in Kogarah, and Caringbah Community Health Centre at Sutherland Hospital. Inpatient D&A services are provided at Sydney Hospital, Prince of Wales, St George and Sutherland Hospitals. Forensic services are provided to Sutherland and Downing Centre Courts. Our goal is to improve health, wellbeing and social outcomes for individuals, families and the community, related to drug and alcohol use. Plan, coordinate, and implement in-depth levels of clinical expertise and extensive specialised knowledge within SESLHD Drug & Alcohol Services for Adult Drug Court Program, consistent with NSW Health, South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD) policies, procedures and standards.

Selection Criteria
* Qualifications in Social Work in accordance with Schedule C of the NSW Health Service Health Professionals (State) Award, or minimum two year full-time (or part-time equivalent) APAC-accredited Masters or Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology or Forensic Psychology and current full registration with AHPRA as a psychologist with endorsement in Clinical or Forensic psychology (or working towards same).
* Experience administering comprehensive assessments, designing targeted treatment plans, and providing evidence-based psychological treatment for substance use issues and/or co-morbid mental health problems.
* Ability to work in court-based programs with clients who have engaged in offending behaviour.
* Ability to provide in-depth advice and education to enhance service delivery and guide and support others in providing service excellence, with capacity to provide clinical supervision to other staff.
* Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and apply advanced reasoning skills and independent professional judgement when dealing with situations of a novel, complex or critical nature.
* Ability to initiate, lead, complete and share quality improvement initiatives and service evaluation processes and lead ongoing quality improvement activities with other staff.
* Demonstrated commitment to ongoing clinical and professional learning.
* Current unrestricted driver's licence valid in Australia or demonstrated ability and willingness to travel as required.
