About the role
Reporting to the Laboratory Supervisor, you will be responsible for providing the highest quality service to clients. Complete work in a timely manner as directed by your supervisor, this includes but is not limited to process, prepare, weigh, digest and analyse mineral and ore samples using a variety of techniques, procedures and instrumentation in accordance with documented procedures, GLP & ISO 17025.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure safety procedures are followed in accordance with Site, State and local guidelines
* Provide quality services to our client in accordance with company policies and procedures
* Perform analysis accurately and within turnaround times required
* Perform maintenance and operational functions on the automated equipment as required
* Follow all documented procedures to ensure maintenance of quality accreditation
* Conduct general cleaning and maintenance of the sample station and sampling points
Selection Criteria:
* Previous geochemistry/minerals & environmental laboratory experience desirable
* Laboratory certification highly regarded
* Ability to work within a small team to achieve key objectives
* Strong organisational skills
* Ability to develop and implement appropriate procedures
* Computer literacy skills are required
