About the Team & Office
B105 is one of the great radio brands in Australian history. For decades it has been Brisbane's first choice for audio entertainment, providing a platform for some of this country's finest performers and comedians. Brisbane's #1 Breakfast show, Stav, Abby & Matt, on B105, is a passionate, high-performing team dedicated to creating premium content each and everyday.
Our vibrant Brisbane office is located in the heart of the city, surrounded by fantastic cafés, restaurants, and excellent public transport options. We're currently trialling a 9-day fortnight – giving you every second Friday off to rest, recharge, and bring your best to the airwaves.
A day in the life?
Your day kicks off early with the Stav, Abby & Matt team, hitting the ground running to ensure each day's show is relevant, engaging and meaningful for a Brisbane audience. You'll work with the Executive Producer of the show to lead creative direction, shape standout content and create great moments within each show. During the show, you'll be across everything – timing, talent, content, and those last‐minute curveballs that make live radio exciting. You'll assist in the creation of a daily content show, including taking calls for live talkback, collecting audio, chasing guests, preparing prep sheets for on-air talent, and any other tasks determined by the Executive Producer.
You'll work closely with the team to brainstorm ideas, book guests, and make sure we're always delivering fresh, engaging content for our Brisbane audience. You'll also help guide junior producers and collaborate with audio and digital teams to bring it all to life.
What You'll Need
* Demonstrated live radio experience, ideally in breakfast or drive formats, with a clear understanding of what makes great content for a metro audience.
* Proven ability to think creatively and contribute to creative planning sessions to develop show tactics and story arcs.
* A proven self‐starter, you can work autonomously and proactively, using initiative to keep the team running smoothly.
* A strong understanding of multiplatform content, capable of thinking about content treatments for social media and podcasting as well as broadcast radio.
* Excellent editorial judgement and understanding of the target audience, so that you know exactly what makes for great talkable content for Brisbane.
* Demonstrated ability to receive and implement feedback and take direction as per the show and station strategy.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including proven experience working within creative teams, in high‐pressure environments and with high‐profile on‐air talent.
* Demonstrated organisational skills and attention to detail, capable of being across multiple moving parts at any one time.
