This is a fixed term, full time vacancy for a period of 12 months, with the possibility of extension and/or permanency.

About the role

The Directorate is accountable for the custody and containment, care and wellbeing, reparation, development and reintegration of people within their supervision.

The Construction Maintenance Instructor operates a maintenance workshop performing building, assembly and repairing functions to support prison operations. The position provides on the job instruction, accredited training and supervision to prisoners who work in this area.

Eligibility and Qualifications

Qualification Requirements

- Certificate III in a construction trade (e.g., Brick Laying & Blocklaying, Carpentry and Joinery)
- Certificate III in Building and Construction
- Certificate III in Building Maintenance
- Certificate III in Appliance Service
- Construction Industry White Card
