Salary: $91 - $98 Per hour (Dependent on qualifications and teaching experience)
Role Description
The role involves delivering culturally responsive education to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander learners within a correctional setting, fostering cultural identity, and supporting rehabilitation through transformative learning experiences.
Responsibilities
Deliver learning experiences that honour culture, build confidence, and support rehabilitation. Provide professional development and teaching support to succeed in the classroom.
Qualifications
* Strong understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, histories, and contemporary issues.
* Demonstrated experience working with Koorie communities or in culturally inclusive settings (education settings preferable).
* Experience delivering training in adult education or vocational settings (preferred but not essential).
* Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE40110 / TAE40116 / TAE40122) OR willing to enrol.
* A commitment to safety, inclusion, and learner success.
