About The Role
We are seeking Child and Family Health University students to undertake their clinical placement with the supportive Maternal and Child Health team at South Gippsland Shire Council in 2027. Our team supports aspiring Maternal and Child Health Nurses with clinical placements that accommodate both full‐time and part‐time university enrolments. We provide professional nursing and midwifery support and advice for families with children from birth to school age.
About You
* At least three years' experience as a Registered Nurse and three years' experience as a hospital‐based Midwife
* Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife
* Ready to enrol in a university postgraduate Child and Family Health qualification once a placement is confirmed
* Availability to attend block placements (minimum two days per week recommended)
* Ability to complete all pre‐placement checks, including reference checks, and provide confirmation of a university‐conducted police check and employee Working with Children Check
