Disability Support Worker Opportunity

This is a challenging yet rewarding career for individuals who are passionate about supporting people with disabilities. As a Disability Support Worker, you will create a safe environment and provide culturally appropriate services.

* Daily Living Assistance: Assist clients with daily tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and medication management.
* Documentation and Progress Notes: Maintain accurate records of client progress and document important information.
* Behavioural Support: Provide support and follow behaviour management plans to ensure the well-being of clients.
* Personal Care: Assist clients with full personal care tasks, including safe wheelchair transfers and transportation.

You will work in a collaborative team environment to support individuals with complex needs. The role requires flexibility and availability to work within a 24/7 roster that includes regular shift work, including night shifts, weekends, and public holidays.


Requirements and Qualifications

* Australian Driver's Licence: Possess an unrestricted Australian driver's licence.
* First Aid Certificate: Hold a current Provide First Aid Certificate and CPR certification.
* Certificate III Individual Support: Possess a Certificate III Individual Support or similar qualification and relevant mental health experience.
* Commitment to Disability Support: Demonstrate a commitment to supporting and promoting the individual needs, skills, abilities, and personal goals of people with disabilities.
* Relationship Building: Develop positive relationships with clients and support their individual personal plans.
* Prior Experience: Have prior experience supporting people with disabilities, behaviours of concern, or mental health, including providing support for complex high-intensity daily personal activities (HIDPA).
