POSITION SUMMARY
FMR Investments is seeking multiple Heavy Diesel Mobile Plant Fitters to work at our Gordon Sirdar Gold Mine approximately 55km north-east of Kalgoorlie. The position operates on a 14:14 roster, rotating between 12hr day and night shifts.
ROLE DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Heavy Diesel Mobile Plant Fitter at Gordon Sirdar, you will play a key role in maintaining the safety, reliability, and performance of mobile plant equipment across operation. This position is essential to ensuring maximum equipment availability, supporting production targets, and upholding high safety and maintenance standards in a fast-paced mining environment.
key Responsibilities
* Perform preventative and breakdown maintenance on mobile plant equipment
* Diagnose mechanical faults and complete repairs safely and efficiently
* Conduct inspections and maintain accurate service records
* Collaborate with operational and maintenance teams
* Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work environment
* Participate in toolbox talks, risk assessments, and safety initiatives
* Monitor critical wear components and recommend replacements
* Support urgent repair prioritisation
Equipment
* Loaders, trucks, telehandlers, drills, IT loaders
* Mobile diagnostic tools and workshop tooling
* Hydraulic and pneumatic systems
* Maintenance systems (e.g., Pronto)
* Service trucks and hoists
* Workshop tools (presses, grinders, torque wrenches)

KEY REQUIREMENTS
Essential
* Manual C Class Driver's Licence
* Recognised Heavy Diesel or Mobile Plant Fitter trade qualification
* High Risk Work Licence (e.g., Forklift, EWP)
* Experience in preventative and breakdown maintenance
* Knowledge of maintenance safety procedures and standards
* A can-do, team-focused attitude with strong problem-solving and communication skills
Desirable
* Previous experience at a gold processing site
* Familiarity with Pronto or similar CMMS platforms
* Current First Aid/CPR certification
* Working at Heights and Confined Space tickets
* Exposure to high-pressure maintenance environments
* Reside locally in the Goldfields region.
