Overview
Belay Technologies has been voted Baltimore Business Journal's Best Places to Work and is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our intel team. The Software Engineer develops, maintains, and enhances complex and diverse software systems (e.g., processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of extremely large data sets, real-time systems, and business management information systems) based on documented requirements. Works individually or as part of a team. Reviews and tests software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test results. Resolves software problem reports. Utilizes software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the development environment. Provides input to system design, including hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, COTS/GOTS usage, and requirements analysis from system level to individual software components.
Responsibilities
* Develop, maintain, and enhance software systems in alignment with documented requirements.
* Review and test software components; document test results; resolve software problem reports.
* Contribute to system design with input on hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, and component-level requirements.
* Collaborate as part of a team or work independently to meet project objectives.
Qualifications
* TS/SCI Clearance with polygraph
* Ten (10) years of experience as a Software Engineer in programs of similar scope and complexity
* Bachelor's degree in computer science or related discipline from an accredited college or university
* Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor's degree
Required Skills
* HTML/CSS
* MEVN Stack Software (MongoDB, Express, Vue.js with Vuetify, Node.js)
* Knowledge of Docker configuration and management
* JSON manipulation
* Familiarity with presentation libraries and dashboard composition
* Knowledge of Corporate Authentication Services and application integration
* Knowledge of GitLab procedures/documentation and proper coding etiquette
* Parallel programming
* Assembly language programming
* Microarchitecture-specific software development
Desirable Skills
* Knowledge of common operating systems (e.g., CentOS 7)
* Knowledge of common cloud platforms (C2S/AWS Web hosting, EC2/RDS, ELB, VMware)
* Knowledge of automated account creation/management via Ansible/Salt
* Knowledge of Corporate Compliance Policies and Integration

Salary Range: $190,000 to $240,000
