Overview
System Administrator at Boeing Australia Holdings Pty Ltd, based 100% onsite in Brisbane.
Responsibilities
* Installation, configuration, maintenance, and support of classified infrastructure.
* Regularly update and maintain hardware infrastructure and multiple operating systems, patching to protect against vulnerabilities.
* Monitor performance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.
* Safeguard applications and sensitive data by enforcing security measures and monitoring access and permissions.
* Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
* Work with the IT team to integrate applications seamlessly with existing systems, optimising performance through collaboration with developers and network administrators.
* Identify and implement solutions to streamline processes, enhance user experience, and boost system performance.
* Oversee installation and configuration of servers and workstations, validating end‐to‐end functionality through rigorous testing.
Qualifications
* 3+ years of experience in a similar role in a corporate or technical environment, overseeing compute, storage, and backup appliances.
* Proficiency in installing, configuring, and supporting a range of software applications.
* Understanding of Windows and Linux environments, databases, and networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
* Current or reinstatable NV1 clearance; willingness to obtain NV2 clearance post‐start.
Preferred Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science or equivalent experience.
* Experience with scripting (PowerShell, Python) and virtualisation technologies (VMware, Hyper‐V).
