Residential Support Worker - Broome Transitional Accommodation Service

About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to join a new residential service based in Broome, supporting women and children experiencing family and domestic violence and homelessness.
As a Residential Support Worker, you will help create a safe, welcoming and supportive environment where residents can stabilise, build confidence and work toward positive outcomes.
The role involves supporting daily living activities, maintaining a safe residential environment, assisting with case planning and safety planning, facilitating group activities and responding to incidents in line with organisational procedures.
This service operates 24/7 and offers a variety of roster patterns across:
* Day shifts: 7:00am – 5:15pm
* Afternoon shifts: 5:00pm – 11:00pm
* Overnight sleep shifts: 11:00pm – 7:00am
We currently have 4 permanent part-time roster patterns available, including:
* Rosters averaging approximately 66.5 hours per fortnight or 40 hours per fortnight
* Combination rosters across weekdays and weekends
About you
You're compassionate, resilient and adaptable, with a genuine passion for supporting vulnerable people within residential and community settings.
In addition, you will also possess:
* Certificate III in Community Services or related qualification (desirable)
* Experience supporting people in residential, community services, housing or related settings
* Experience working with individuals experiencing complex needs or crisis situations
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Ability to remain calm and professional in high‐pressure situations
* Flexible approach to shift work and sleep over shifts across a 24‐hour roster
* Current Driver's Licence
* First Aid Certificate
* National Police Clearance (obtained within the last six months)
