Job Summary
Provide frontline care and management of patients presenting with undifferentiated minor injuries and ailments. Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of safe, efficient, and patient‑centred care across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
Main Duties
* Assess, diagnose, and treat patients with minor injuries such as lacerations, sprains, fractures, bites, stings, infections, head and eye injuries, sports injuries, burns and scalds.
* Perform wound closure, minor joint and fracture reduction.
* Make radiological requests within protocols.
* Educate patients and families about injury prevention and post‑treatment care.
* Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
* Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date patient records.
* Participate in continuous professional development and training sessions.

Person Specification
Essential
* Current professional registration: NMC or HCPC
* Post‑graduate specialist training to degree level with minor illness focus
* Substantial post‑registration experience in MIU, ED or equivalent
* An ability to act calmly in emergencies and respond professionally
* Strong commitment to teaching and learning
Desirable
* Non‑Medical Prescribing qualification
* Experience in managing a team or service
