Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to provide support in a diverse role within a professional but friendly environment. This is a full-time position based in our Perth Office.
The position will include but not be limited to:
- Being a key technical leader on EMtek projects, dedicated to delivering exceptional value to clients through the provision of high-quality solutions that align with project objectives and requirements.
- Providing technical advice to a growing team of mechanical engineers and to the wider EMtek team.
- Executive mechanical engineering tasks across a range of projects including:
- Materials handling, covering conveying, material transfer, and advanced DEM modelling
- Mechanical equipment selection
- Pumping and piping, from mining services such as water, slurry, air, hydraulics through to power stations with fuel supply systems and lubrication systems
- Ensure design tasks, activities and deliverables are formatted, progressed, checked, reviewed and completed in accordance with company and project requirements, procedures and systems, whilst maintaining consistency.
- Support and collaborate with other disciplines and designers to develop designs for a wide range of plant and infrastructure.
- Participate in the complete engineering process from concept development through to product manufacturing and commissioning.
- Participate in Risk Assessments and Hazops and maintain Safety ID Design registers.
Skills and Experience
- Tertiary qualification in Engineering and 6+ years of Multidisciplinary Engineering experience in the mining and resources sector.
- Strong design experience with the capability to produce calculations and design documentation, as well as having practical experience working in construction, commissioning and/or operations in the bulk materials and minerals processing industries.
- Experience across a range of commodities, including gold, copper, lithium and iron ore, is favorable.
- Demonstrated understanding of industry safety and environmental standards.
