About The Role:
Play a key role in managing ambitious growth plans for our Woolworths Business.
Join our passionate Sales team as a National Account Manager for Woolworths. In this role, you will work closely with our National Business Manager to grow and manage all aspects of Openway's Woolworths ANZ business. You will have the opportunity to build exceptional relationships, joint business plans and elevate Openway through ambitious growth plans throughout the next 3 years.

Working cross-functionally with the broader Sales and Marketing, Supply Chain, and Finance teams, you'll have the chance to be a key driver in delivering innovative and sustainable growth by increasing our core range of net sales. Ensure Openway optimizes trade investment, bringing forward-thinking approaches to category management, promotional planning and creating a pathway for profitable NPD.
The role will customer facing and provides cover for the Business Manager – Woolworths ANZ.
__The role will predominantly be based in our Cremorne Demand Hub.__
Your responsibilities will include:
Customer Management & Commercial:
Build strong relationships by providing exceptional service to deliver mutually beneficial commercial outcomes focusing on growth, profitability, and market share.
Participate in customer meetings and demonstrate understanding of their specific strategies and flexibility to meet their needs and timelines.
Drive key growth plans for Woolworths
Contribute to the development of strategic 3-year growth plan with 1–3-year category execution growth plans.
Support the implementation of joint business plans focusing on growth, profitability, and market share, and ensuring promotional activities align with priority brands and trade spend guidelines.
Optimise trade spending and lead product activation strategies
Manage budget and trade spend optimisation to drive cost-effective results and overall account performance.
Lead strategic initiatives for product activation and range to maximise brand visibility and sales.
Business Development
Work closely with the National Business Manager, Category, Marketing and Finance, provide timely input to the range review process to present a compelling customer opportunity and presentation.
Conduct performance analysis to identify growth opportunities and ensure ongoing competitiveness.
Work closely with marketing build multiyear innovation pipeline that supports the strong base portfolio and brings new products that drive category growth and increase market share.
Forecasting Demand
Contribute to the S&OP cycle by conducting demand planning and ensuring integrity of the sales forecast including trade spend, baseline and promotional forecasts.
About You:
We are looking for an experienced National or Key Account Manager within major grocery, (Woolworths desirable) independent, or alternative channels in FMCG (preferably in food). You will have a hunger "Can do" mindset who is able to learn, grow the business with determination, resilience to deliver results and take on bigger challenges down the line.
You will have:
3+ years of experience in a National or Key Account Management role within major grocery, independent, or alternative channels in FMCG (preferably in food)
Bachelor's degree in business (preferred but not essential)
Strong commercial acumen, planning, and organisation skills, with strong attention to detail.
Strong numerical skills, data driven and able to draw actionable insights and trends to inform decision making and support business growth
Exceptional communication skills and the ability to create high quality, insightful presentations. Ability to influence and build productive, collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Good knowledge and experience of category review process and planning
Knowledge of price management and sensitivities, and NPD development process
You will bring to the team your passion, energy, and ability to work collaboratively with others to elevate our brands and service delivery to new and exciting places.
