At ALS, we encourage you to dream big.When you join us, you'll be part of a global team harnessing the power of scientific testing and data-driven insights to build a healthier future.The roleALS Geochemistry is looking for a Fire Assayer to join our Fire Assay team at our facility in Orange - NSW, where you will play a crucial role in the analysis of precious metals.Key Responsibilities:Accurately weigh samples and add flux reagents as part of the fire assay process.Operate high-temperature furnaces (900–1100 °C) to fuse mixtures and extract metals such as gold.Dose and flux samples for fusion.Fuse and cupel gold samples for analysis.Perform quality control procedures.Conduct routine maintenance and testing of equipment.We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our team at the entry level, with a focus on developing their skills to become fully proficient Fire Assayers.This full-time position will involve working on an Afternoon Shift roster: Monday to Friday from 1:30 pm to 9:30 pm.The position is highly specialized and requires strict adherence to lead hygiene and hydration programs.
