Our client is an award winning, high growth fund manager with a global footprint with over $20bn funds under management, which is expected to grow rapidly.
We are looking for a Finance Manager to join our team, reporting directly to the CFO. This is a hands‐on role (similar to a Finance Manager/Controller role) with broad responsibility across the group, owning the day‐to‐day financial accounting and reporting for multiple entities.
This role will suit a strong technical accountant who is comfortable operating in a lean, high‐accountability environment and enjoys taking ownership of core finance processes. You will be responsible for ensuring the day‐to‐day BAU finance function runs smoothly, accurately and on time, while maintaining strong controls and supporting the broader business with reliable financial information.
Key responsibilities
* Own the day‐to‐day financial accounting across all group entities (US, UK, Australia, NZ)
* Manage month‐end, quarter‐end and year‐end close processes
* Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, P&L reconciliations and supporting schedules
* Oversee general ledger integrity and ensure all financial records are complete and accurate
* Work with CFO on statutory financial reporting and coordination of external audit requirements
* Support tax compliance processes including BAS, FBT, payroll tax, income tax and other local lodgements as required
* Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll (incl US/UK/NZ) and cash management processes, either directly or through service providers/internal team members
* Maintain and improve financial controls, policies and procedures
* Partner with the CFO on group reporting, entity‐level oversight and ad hoc finance projects
* Support process improvement and finance systems enhancements where needed
* Accounting package: Microsoft Dynamics 365
About you
* CA or CPA qualified
* We do NOT require funds management or financial services experience – but do require experience with strong financial accounting, a multi‐entity, and overseas consolidated accounts group structure
* Experience owning BAU finance processes end to end
* Strong technical accounting skills with a high attention to detail
* Comfortable working autonomously and taking responsibility for deliverables
* Able to balance hands‐on execution with process improvement
* Strong communication skills and confidence working directly with senior stakeholders
* Experience in financial services, investment management or other complex corporate structures would be viewed favourably
