The Finance Assistant supports the day-to-day operations of the finance team, assisting with payroll, invoicing, accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, banking administration, and general finance-related administrative tasks.

Working closely with the Management Accountant and Finance Officer, this role ensures financial and administrative processes are completed accurately, efficiently, and within required timeframes.

Experience with systems such as Xero, PRODA, and Nightingale is highly regarded; however, training will be provided where required.

About You

We are seeking a highly organised, detail-focused administrator with experience in accounts, payroll, or finance administration.

You will be confident managing multiple priorities, maintaining confidentiality, and supporting a busy finance team in a fast-paced environment.

Experience within the NDIS, disability, or community services sector is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

* Assist with payroll processing, including timesheets and leave administration
* Process supplier invoices and support accounts payable functions
* Raise customer invoices and support accounts receivable follow-up
* Perform bank account and credit card reconciliations
* Assist with banking and payment processing
* Respond to internal and external finance-related enquiries
* Provide general office and administrative support as required

Skills & Experience

* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Excellent organisation, time management, and multitasking abilities
* Experience with Xero, Microsoft Excel, and finance administration systems
* High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
* Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
* Adaptable and responsive to changing business needs

Physical Requirements

* Prolonged periods of sitting and computer work
* Occasional standing and forward reaching
* May require travel between office locations

Other Requirements

* Compliance with NDIS Worker Screening and National Police Clearance
* Valid driver's licence required
* Completion of additional training modules as required
