This investment will scale Vault's SECRET Cloud and introduce new services such as the AUKUS cloud capability, directly addressing Australia's strategic national security demands. Vault is now positioned to not only strengthen its existing relationships with federal and state government agencies, but also strengthen its relationships with private sector businesses requiring secure cloud storage.To support this growth, we are bolstering our capability by adding numerous key roles that are integral to our future success. This is an opportunity to join us at the forefront of a once-in-a-generation technological advancement whilst at the same time securing the nation against ever-increasing threats.Due to continued growth and the critical importance of our national infrastructure projects, we are expanding our operations team and seeking an Infrastructure Operations Engineer to join our Operations team. This role is based in our Canberra office to help manage, maintain, and enhance our cloud infrastructure supporting key cloud regions.You will be responsible for:Leading Service Configuration and Management to ensure Vault systems are consistent, secure, and aligned across all environments.Driving Deployment Management by enabling seamless, reliable delivery of new features in collaboration with cross-functional teams.Owning Infrastructure Reliability through proactive monitoring, performance optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives.Upholding Security and Compliance by embedding best practices and meeting regulatory requirements across all systems.Fostering Collaboration Across Teams to align infrastructure capabilities with product needs and support scalable growth.Building Internal Capability by mentoring team members and championing modern DevOps and infrastructure practices.Ensuring Operational Excellence through effective incident management, change control, and alignment with business priorities.To be successful you will be able to demonstrate with:The scope of this role requires an Australian Government Security Clearance; therefore, applicants must be Australian Citizens and have the ability to obtain and maintain the required security clearance.Strong hands-on experience in Linux systems administration and OpenStack/OpenShift environmentsDeep understanding of storage solutions like Ceph and SwiftDemonstrated capability with automation and CI/CD tools – GitLab, Ansible, TerraformSolid knowledge of networking (e.g., Cisco, Cumulus, Fortinet)Experience operating in environments where uptime and reliability are non-negotiableCollaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, product, and security to align infrastructure with business needsA passion for technology and securityFlexibility to enjoy and thrive within a fast-paced, agile, and expanding scale-up environmentWhat’s in it for you?Be at the forefront of cyberwarfare, the greatest technology challenge of our generationUp to 10% of time dedicated to learning & development5 days of bonus leave per yearCompany paid parental leaveA diverse culture where we celebrate our people and their unique, individual perspectivesYou will collaborate to provide secure and professional cloud services to a broad range of users.
