Reporting into the Service Business Manager – West, the Service Team Leader – WA will be based at our Balcatta office in Perth, WA. You will play a crucial role in leading and coordinating technical field service team members and managing, maintaining, and further developing the workshop operations and business interests of the region. Effective leadership and efficient planning, scheduling, and execution of service activities will be paramount to your success.
Key responsibilities
Lead, coach, and delegate service work to technicians, whilst overseeing job progress;
Support the Service Business Manager in the hiring and ongoing development of technicians;
Coordinate availability of physical resources and technicians, travel logistics (FIFO/DIDO), and site access;
Engage practices that foster a positive team culture and influence excellent service experiences for customers;
Cultivate workspace and practices that facilitate efficiency, effectiveness for employees, and well presented results for customers;
Drive effective workshop service operations and represent business interests to senior management;
Hands-on maintenance, repair, and testing of customer products and equipment, as required;
Reporting to management and key stakeholders on business performance and KPIs;
Deliver accurate service records for traceability of maintenance documentation;
Ensure up to date training of technicians for new requirements as required;
Guide process improvements for scheduling, tracking, and utilisation;
Optimise operations with the aid of service management systems;
Apply a compliance focused mindset across all operations, and;
Ideal candidate
4+ years of experience in similar service leadership position;
Certificate or Diploma in Frontline Management, or equivalent industry experience;
Certificate in Mechanical and / or Electronic Trade from an accredited tertiary institution;
Background of effective people leadership and technical field service team coordination (mining, industrial, oil and gas, or safety technology preferred);
Ability to develop detailed knowledge of Draeger Safety products, services, and their application;
Understanding of mine site safety protocols and FIFO logistics;
Proficiency with CRM applications and Microsoft Office tools;
Adaptability and readiness to handle multiple, changing priorities in a fast-paced environment;
Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn;
Exemplary understanding of compliance rules and ability to act as a role model in upholding and promoting compliance standards;
Excellent customer focus, stakeholder management, influencing, analytical, planning, scheduling, problem solving, facilitation, negotiation, interpersonal, and verbal and written communication skills, and;
Current Driving Licence.
A Police Check will be required for this position.
