Patient Services Officer (Medical Administration)
In the radiation oncology department, you'll help support patients throughout their cancer treatment journey and be part of a caring team that puts patients first every single day. This is a permanent part-time role (5 days per fortnight) ideal for those looking for flexibility while building experience in a patient‐focused setting.
Responsibilities
* Provide clerical support to help the radiation oncology department run smoothly each day
* Book, update and confirm patient appointments for consultations and treatment
* Process payments and assist with billing and receipting
* Accurately enter and update patient information in clinical and administrative systems
* Scan, file and organise patient and treatment documentation
* Maintain accurate and up‐to‐date patient records in line with privacy requirements
* Answer phone calls, respond to emails, and assist with patient and billing enquiries
* Support both clinical and administrative teams with day‐to‐day tasks
* Stay organised and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment
Qualifications
* A caring and patient-focused approach
* A positive attitude and willingness to learn
* Good communication and organisational skills
* The ability to work both independently and as part of a supportive team
* Administration or clerical experience (helpful but not essential)
* A professional and friendly phone manner
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy
