Our existing Allied Health Team is expanding, and we are seeking an experienced Speech Pathologist to join our team. The successful candidate will participate in improving lives by delivering high-quality, person-centred services to clients with various care needs.
Responsibilities include:
- Assessing, diagnosing, and managing clients with communication and swallowing disorders.
- Participating in complex multidisciplinary assessments.
- Providing client support, including clinic or home-based sessions, training, and resource development.
- Working with low and high tech ACC.
The position is suitable for experienced practitioners who will assist in building the Speech Pathology team in the Northern Territory, supported by the Allied Health portfolio and the wider trans-disciplinary team.
About You
Desired skills and experience include:
- A degree in Speech Pathology and eligibility for certified practising membership of Speech Pathology Australia.
Desirable experience, interest, and skills:
- Experience working with people with intellectual disabilities and/or experiences of trauma who have complex needs.
- Experience in conducting Communication assessments, treatment planning, and intervention for children, adolescents, and adults.
- Experience in supervision and mentoring of staff.
Requirements:
- Current Driver’s Licence.
- Current Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening, or the ability to attain these checks.
